Nice touch to have Leon & some of the GB DC team members parade the Cup before the start of play on Centre Court today.  thumbsup.gif

I wouldn't.  It could be third time lucky for NoDjo, should he finally get the better of Mr Querrey today & go on to play Andy in the final, & there's always a chance that Roger the Lodger will come a cropper against Raonic or Dimi/Johnson or Cilic/Nishikori before he reaches the final! wink

Onwards, Mr Querrey, onwards. You can do this!

Can't see anything other than a Djokovic comeback today unfortunately. If you were trying to choose a player to choke and crumble at a big opportunity, Sam Querrey would be pretty high up on that list.

Sam Querrey.  I take it all back.  Well played that man.  No if you could just beat Federer as well ........

And in a week when the seismic shock waves have just kept on coming, Querrey takes the fourth by 7-6(5) and with it the match!  biggrin

Congrats to Sam.

But Novak was so clearly not well/not OK (with whatever)

Agreed: there's something wrong, and I hope he recovers well. But that top half is now really exciting: Querrey plays Mahut; Federer plays Steve Johnson; Cilic plays Nishikori; and Goffin/Sock/Istomin/Raonic are all in the running for the other fourth round spots. A lot of grass talent there - one rather feels that anything could happen.

I think there is certainly a case for that, especially with Fed looking back in good form.

But on the other hand if Andy could win another Wimbledon final against anyone, I rather think that he would just luv it, luv it to be against Fed.

The other thing about Novak losing, fit and well he was much less likely to lose somewhere earlier than Fed, who still has plenty dangers in his half. Maybe Andy ( at last ! ) could have a Slam final not against Novak or Fed.

L32:  (3) Roger Federer (SUI) WR 3 defeated Dan Evans WR 91 by 4,2 & 2

L32:  (2) Andy Murray WR 2 defeated John Millman (AUS) WR 67 by 3, 5 & 2 - & into the second week he sails

Something tells me the Wimbledon powers that be will not be too concerned about Djoko's exit so long as Andy (& Roger the Lodger) remain/s in the draw. wink
