Weeks 26 & 27 - Wimbledon 2016 (grass) - doubles

Meanwhile in the all-GB mixed doubles, a very uneven scoreline in the first two sets, with the third obviously key.

(Edited as I realised the original could be misread)

Brilliant win. Too much going on at the moment - impossible to do anything today.

Superb stuff and well done to the people at Wimbledon who decided to put it on a non tv court.

Huey and Mirnyi in the quarters

Was just thinking the same thing. Dipping in and out and thinking how amazing it is to have five GB matches to be following on the second Monday. Well done, GB players.

Wow. 4 hours and 8 minutes is at least double the length of the average doubles match so you would think that would suit the them team that consists of singles players who are more used to playing that length of match.

Jonny has defended all of his Wimbledon points and most of his Newport points so even in the worst case scenario should stay around about 100 in the world.

Remember Shamasdin was the partner with whom he narrowly missed direct entry with in 2012, forcing him to take a wild card with Freddie Nielsen.

What happened in the final game of the Marray match? Seen some pics of Cuevas and Granollers arguing with the tournament referee. Must have been something serious?

Confusion on Court 7. Cuevas & Granollers are 0-40 down on their serve, facing three match points, and have sat down refusing to play. Marray & Shamasdin are waiting at the end of the court! It appears Cuevas was docked a point after he double faulted to go 0-30 down before smacking a ball in the air and out of the court in frustration.

^ Sorry to answer my own question, but there you go!

I had forgotten that.  They've well & truly made up for lost time today! smile
