Exactly. Decent-ish attempt by a young player who's barely played in the last couple of months and has obviously had some sort of injury niggle, as well as being a débutante to Wimbly tennis.
But she certainly looked rather out of her depth out there....
I know what you mean, but credit to Katie, as she's had a very tough prep, with no matches under her belt.
It's going to be a frustrating day weather wise, very windy with on and off drizzle and a delayed start. If Heather deals with it well then she should win.
Heather on top early on. With wind making it a battle for both players, I think Heather's ability to win free points on serve will be the difference here. Beck hasn't come up with a way to win points apart from errors from Heather.
not even starting on time on centre - what's the point of having a bloody roof if they can't think to use it when they know full well it's gonna be raining by now?
mea culpa: just clicked on centre court and there was no play button - found it when I went to the BBC2

Looks like play is finally about to get going again on the outside courts in the next half an hour - though this means that Heather and JoKo's matches will clash with Willis-Federer
