Thought Tara played ok, miles below the level she showed against McHale in Nottingham but still comfortably good enough against an opponent who was mediocre for much of the match and truly shocking on her 7 bps.

hope she gets her level back up for her next opponent
Heather might struggle to get on now as there's still a 5th set and a whole match ahead of hers on Court 2.
If Wozniacki v Kuznetsova doesn't go on that long, I wonder if they will think about moving Heather's match there. Currently they look set in for a long match though, and I'm enjoying focusing on one match for a bit without lots of other scores to keep up to date on.
Looks on the overall stats a bit more competitive match than the 6-3 6-2 scoreline suggests with nearly 8 points played a game on her 9 serves (45-25). Return 8 games went 23-30, overall 68-55.
It's getting these games and sets win that really counts and Tara took 3/9 BPs as against the mentioned 0/7. Pleased too to see these DFs still back under control at just 3.
And she will be pleased to be almost certainly back into the top 200 or more importantly with a '1' at the start of her ranking Well deserved.
She now has 198 ranking points purely from this grass court season, which would be enough in itself for top 250 on the current rankings.
And let's see how the indoor match to decide her R2 opponent is going. 3 all first set between Wozniacki and Kuznetsova.

They usually keep some matches unscheduled in early days including usually at least one suitable for a show court filler, which the "to be arranged" Bencic vs Pironkova match probably is.
I don't know if they stay on call and priority to add to the Centre Court programme once the rain comes down.
Tara I suspect will never play a match like the one against McHale again, such was its quality. Thought Tara stepped it up in the 2nd, and overall I'd give it an 8 compared to the 10 at Notts.
Jo looked very impressive in the 1st set against Puig, long may that continue.
Jo to finish at 13:00 on court 1 - needs to be careful not to get Henman-ed by the rain.
Heather 1st up on court 12, at 11:30
But, probably going to be irrelevant as tomorrow is minimum 60% chance of a wash out.
Nole and Fed, on Centre, are guaranteed to finish their R2 before as many as 29 R1 singles.
With only one covered court, I suppose that's just unavoidably the way it goes.
