Good to see Sam Murray using her protected ranking - injury permitting and having a go at a 50K

Plenty of Brits entered over at Lexington - not sure how many will get into main draw though..

Aljaz is on the alts list for Toronto but about 12 spots out at the moment and not on the qualifying list. Presumably as he is playing Umag the week before it is unlikely, at least if things go well, that he could make it in time for qualifying. Rather puzzled looking ahead though that he is not on the entry lists for Atlanta or Los Cabos and so may well end up not playing for 3 weeks during a period when there are going to be some seriously weak fields at ATP events. I am sure there is a plan but I really can't see it.

Indeed Andy has withdrawn along with Gasquet. Toronto is braced for a spate of withdrawals from the Olympians.

The other three girls are currently occupying Q3,Q5 and Q6

Dan won't get in Toronto without a wildcard and there is no point playing challengers

Tables tidied up - K Oakley is the other main draw withdrawal that hasn't been mentioned

Changing my original hopeful post, it is now being reported that Aljaz is in the MD for Toronto, there has been a wave of withdrawals in the last 24 hours and the latest saw him make the cut smile

Sorry Emma if it offended you, it wasn't meant to be derogatory in any way. But I have female friends and colleagues who refer to each other as girls, and some of them are in their 60's, so it is just a way of talking.
