Our first of the week (unless you count Marcus, of course! wink )!

Final:  (2) Dom Inglot & Daniel Nestor CAN) CR 43 (30+13) defeated (1) Ivan Dodig & Marcelo Melo (CRO/BRA) CR 23 (15+8) by 7-5 7-6(4)  ban-woohoo.gif

The boys actually served for the title at 5-4 in the second set.

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. So pleased for them. I was afraid the rain break might give the opponents a chance to 'rev up' a bit.

Yay, well done Dom. And your partner too is good, he seems to have got to grips with this doubles lark. Good choice.

Really pleased for him. He's been so unlucky with partners, injuries etc over the last couple of years. Great to see him getting a break now. Anyone know what the impact is on his ranking? Hope the result gives him some confidence going into Wimbledon.

For now it will just move Dom up one place from WR 30 to WR 29, basically because the way the points stood he could only ever overtake one player ( Rajeev Ram ) this week. But he is clearly now closer to the other players in the 20s.

Thanks.

That's pleasing cos he's one of those who dumped Dom I think!
