Hi - first post on this forum, although been reading for a while; just wanted to comment on the men's doubles draw here. Noticed that Dom Inglot is playing with Nestor this week and Lindstedt is also in the draw but with a different partner. Presumably this means Inglot and Lindstedt have split? Any idea on who Dom is playing with at Wimbledon?
I did notice that when Dom missed the draw for the French Open, presumably due to Lindstedt's injuries, there appeared to be a couple of tense tweets and wondered if all wasn't right in the partnership (my guess was that the withdrawal by Lindstedt was too late in the day for Dom to organise an alternative pairing?) so it wouldn't be a surprise if they had split.

thanks - does that mean the Inglot/Lindstedt partnership is completely finished? I must admit playing with Nestor seems like a great opportunity to play with a doubles legend and learn a lot in the process if he can make it permanent (if there is such a thing in men's doubles these days?)
Daniel Nestor is though 63 ( ah I see just 43 ) so how permanent a partnership might be who knows. But yes much to be potentially gained for now from all Daniel's experience and the fact that he is still a ruddy good partner to have.

Agreed - will follow with interest. You'll have to excuse me but I am not totally au fait with the structure of the forum and this might therefore be the wrong place to comment. I do follow doubles a little (probably to do with playing it more than singles - it's an age thing ) but I have often wondered if the "Doubles TEAM Race" is the best way of engaging fans in doubles. The players pairings do seem to change a lot and mid season as partnerships dont work out and so tracking the Top 8 pairs doesnt always reflect the best doubles players. Of the current Top 16 ranked players, Melo, Peers, Nestor, Roger-Vasellin, Dodig and Klaasen all fall outside the Top 8 partnerships. It may be different if in year results are looked at, but that would be 6 of the top 16 players who won't make the O2.
Last couple of years at year end, the Doubles Race has been spoilt as some of the pairs mix around and don't really chase the last spot or two - I have often wondered if taking the Top 16 players and forming 8 pairs from them for the WTF would be more interesting and relevant? Of the current Top 16, 10 players are in the Top 8 pairs, Dodig and Melo make a pairing (ranked 11th as a team) and Peers, Nestor, Roger-Vasellin and Klaasen could then be formed into two "scratch pairings".
I am sure there is lots against that and I am also sure this is the wrong place to raise it, so forgive me as I learn!

No issues posting that there and welcome to the board.
The doubles race has the big financial earner at the O2 at the end of the year. Most of the top doubles players tend to stay together for 12 months just for the money, but partnerships have been a bit cut throat in recent years.
