Had numerous game points in her last service game.
After a lengthy delay, which had me thinking they had stopped for the night, play resumes. Freya with 2 bps. She breaks for *1-3 Then holds from 0-30 for 2-3* *2-4 3-4* *3-5 4-5* saves set point before breaking for *5-5
Play suspended 7-6(7) *5-5 in the 2nd set.

can someone clarify the ranking points on offer for these matches - I saw 20 points for this first round which seems excessive and from what I've seen written elsewhere it looks like it's only 25 points for qualifying, so winning 1 or 2 matches would get you nothing?

I thought the ladies was 20 pts first round win thirty points second round win and forty points to qualify

as scottie1 said - 2 points for turning up, 20 for reaching q2, and then 30 and 40
Freya was playing beautifully in what is a tightly contested game but struggling with a cold hence the time out. If she has the breath to stay with it her game looks good for the next level.

And for the men it's : zilch for turning up, 8 for reaching q2, 16 for reaching the fqr and for qualifying it's 25 ( but effectively 35 since they add 10 for competing in MD R1 ). The women wouldn't add the 10 in R1 to their 40, but would add the full amount from any further progression.

ty Indy - that's where the confusion lay - I couldn't see any info about points for earlier rounds - just the 25 for qualifying
