Well, Olivetti qualified a couple of hours ago - and he's lower ranked.

But he WAS a lot higher......

Absolutely buzzing for this win from Marcus. A truly fantastic achievement even without considering the fact he's been off the tour for a while. A massively well earned paycheck and an opportunity to show off his uniquely enjoyable brand of tennis at SW19. Well done. Superb.

Well done to Marcus. A parallel with our last female qualifier (before this year at least - Harriet still playing) Karen Cross, who came out of semi-retirement in 2001, through pre-qualifying and qualifying. Karen ended up winning a main draw match, so let's hope the parallel continues.
