Not quite Wimbledon level of excitement but a super day in Belgium as young Pierre makes it three out of three, with an excellent win against a ranked player.

QR2: Pierre LUIGGI (GBR) UNR, age 17 def. Maxime PAUWELS (BEL) [q7] WR 1446, age 17 7-5 6-1


It should be remembered that Pierre has juvenile diabetes (he posted a Youtube video about his tennis and talked about his diabetes so I don't think it's indiscrete to mention it). He also had a problem because he had a wonderful coach from Malawi, who coached him for free, but had a major visa issue and was going to be deported. Don't quite know what happened but it can't have been easy for Pierre, whatever happened (nor his coach)
