No one seems to have mentioned as to why Kyle's match wasn't on centre, when it was the MOTD. Court 2 was full to capacity, whilst Evo's match on centre was half full.
It was certainly a curious decision although I should point out the obvious that a half full centre court (it wasn't even half full) would have more people than a packed court 2. If the matches had been reversed centre court would have still been half full at best while court 2 would still have been packed.
I would imagine that if you polled the people in attendance that Kyle's match would have been their No1 choice for the day and that Evo's would be a close No2 and so I was surprised that they weren't both scheduled on centre. It's not as if Muller v Vesely or Cuevas v Robert were matches of such stature that they had to be on centre. That said I don't really object to having a popular match on the outside the courts as it gives something for people with just ground passes, although there were several other very popular players on the outside courts without adding Kyle to the mix. As I already said the dumb part was scheduling Kyle and Evo at similar times as I am sure plenty of people wanted to watch both.
For a player who is 30 yrs old and who broke into the top 100 in 2007, he has played very, very few grass court tournaments. He can't have been injured every June! The above list seems comprehensive, he has not played any other grass court events. Clearly, he must really hate the stuff. It is an excellent opportunity for Dan who I think has under performed so far this grass court season.

I suppose the difference was that Kyle was also playing a 'name' player as opposed to Evo against Berankis. Anyway we'll just have to disagree about that one. The fact that they started at exactly same time was of course the real killer. I watched the 1st and last sets of Evo's match and the 2nd one of Kyle's.

I am not sure there is any disagreement between us on this.
On a wider point I actually think that top players are scheduled on the main courts too often these days. I long for the days when a defending Wimbledon champion is sent out to court 2.

Evo started well 3 break points at 2 - 1 up. Missed a forehand on break point nade a comment nothing in it just encouragement and what he should have done on the point, line judge complained to the umpire, who in turn issued a code violation. Which like previous weeks has affected Dan who is still talking about it over a game later. as we are its 2 - 2 0 - 30
Just point out up to that point Evo looked like he was on top form. ... as i type he seems to have got it together and now has break point... TAKEN!! back on serve 3 - 3
Good that he has got himself back together but he really, really needs to stop doing that. Unless the line judge was lying, which I genuinely doubt, he can have no complaints about the code violation. He got away with one yesterday when he referred to himself as tw*t but if an official hears you then there is only going to be one result.
