Don't worry about Jim Ward, his gutless performance here ( yes, I did see the match ), will earn him a couple of grand or whatever + 30 odd grand for turning up at Wimby so he's ok. Sick that the LTA continue to spoon feed this man's career with one wild card after another. My blood boileth over.

What makes my blood boil is the comparison between the treatment of James, whose attitude has frequently been appalling this year, and that of some hard working young lads busting a gut trying to make their way in the sport only to see that LTA/AELTC decide not to use 3 qualifying wild cards.
This is the sort of comment I would expect from someone who clearly did not see the match. When Ward broke Jaziri for 4-1 Jaziri had thrown the towell in. All Ward had to do was put a few accurate serves in as Jaziri had given up but he could not even do that. The fact that Jaziri is ranked 60 is immaterial, all the other comments here do justice to Wards appaling performance. Maybe The Knight should not comment on a match he hasn't even seen!

RJA, yes this is one of the things i had in mind when i wrote. The wet nursing of James needs to stop now!
Can you withdraw WCs once awarded? James has just run out of steam for me and should have never been given the WCs in the first place, but surely better to invest in one of the kids than a has-been, which is what he is.
Thought Id check out what disgraceful performance Ward put out....turns out it was a 3 set loss to WR 60?
Yeh simply outrageous, should hang his head in shame. Cox or Glasspool would have done so much better
Jaziri might be WR 60 but he is terrible on grass. That however is not the issue at all. The reason that this was a disgraceful performance was that James led *4-1 in the deciding set before losing the last five games in the in the most pathetic manner imaginable. He lost 5 games in a row, including 3 on serve, against a guy who basically did nothing. Almost every point was an error by James and the vast majority of them were genuine unforced errors hitting basic rally balls long or into the net.
Now yes, I can imagine a scenario where Dan Cox might lose from *4-1 up in the decider but I would wager ever penny to my name that he wouldn't do so without making his opponent fight for it.

Technically I believe they can but if they did so he would have a rock solid case to sue them as he withdrew from qualifying due to having received the wild card.
Think the comments towards Wardy are very harsh here myself. He's never been one to show emotion.
Granted his performance from Where he was today was terrible mind.
But the sppon fed comments are noir to do with him.
He has over achieved in his career, unfortunately it is doing him no good now. A few years ago when he was no 2 everybody only had good words to say about him. He completes a lot of charity work and made the top 100z
Despite his troubles now I think people on this thread have short memories and should show a little more respect.
