Naomi & Heather came from a break down once, but not twice, against Atawo/Spears. 5-7
Bad light; suspended; and they'll have to finish tomorrow.

Overnight, Heather & Naomi seem to have had enough, as, before the start of any further play today, the result is now given as 5-7 RET

If I were jossanna I would not be happy that they pulled out, they got the wild card instead of jossanna that in my book is out of order.

Welcome newman.

I had been thinking pity, but fair enough if they feel they have other priorities.

But you make a very good point, especially if not unlikely their WC was instead of fellow Brits. You do have a certain responsibility if you are playing on a WC that others ( not just from your own country, but perhaps especially so ) would have appreciated.

So unless real injury ( as opposed to what it may say on the draw sheet ) not good.

Jo saved BP in every service game so far. High quality of play from both players; good stuff. 4-2*

Unbelieveable. Beeb ended coverage on set point. Nice to know they are supporting Jo.

5-2 did flatter Jo a bit. The current score is closer to he truth. o's returns and first serve have been good, second serve the problem.
o with a second chance to serve it out. *5-4

Agreed, it was being lost by Petra, not won by Jo - although she was playing well. I guess Petra's tightened up and cut her UEs.
