Elias and Andreozzi have made it into the main draw, despite withdrawing from qualifying. Interesing to see if they have "recovered", or will withdraw, or will withdraw late and take the money.

Someone got a heavy fine for doing that in one of the GSs this year, so I doubt they'd risk it. It was something in the order of all their prize money and points.

The official entry list as of yesterday shows Minaur at 105, and not as a WC. Only three WC's on the list now (and Berdych is shown as withdrawn).

Hmm, very surprised if there literally will only be 3 of 4 players called and treated as WCs. And in that event apologies for going on so.

I found it hard to believe too Indy, but the apologies will be needed.

Stakhovsky has been added to that list, but not yet to the Entry List

Clarke - seems pretty obvious
Surbiton winner
Nottingham winner
Ilkley winner
Ward - bang out of form and a lot of points coming off, but should still be in the qualifying spots by decisions and probably better rewarding him than handing 4 back like last year
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Choinski - will split opinion and would be outside the Q cut off as it stands, so a QWC may be enough, but he is adjacent to Jay in the race at around 220, so is performing above his ranking at the moment, plus that will likely mean he has a bit room to manoeuvre these next couple of months
Draper - injury and the new changes have halted his progress, but he is still a junior finalist and our brightest prospect on the men's side.

Can't see past that - Liam, Evan, a couple of other GB youngsters, Tseng, Brydan, Lloyd etc could be in line for QWCs and some even the pre-quallie playoff.

Any early thoughts? Just over 6 weeks until the grass season starts.

As mentioned on womens section the top 250 policy went out a few years back in 2015

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2015/feb/10/lta-wimbledon-wild-card-policy

However, as a rule of thumb, then it is hard to see how anyone beyond that mark could justify a place. I agree with you that currently only Jay plus the 3 Challenger winners deserve one. I would instigate a Race for a Wildcard across the grass season events (Challengers, ATP event at Queens, and give some merit to the 4 ITF events recently played) and allocate a place or two to the top Brits in those. Beyond that, no one has justified a reason to give them a WC, although I would like to see Jack Draper pull off a few good weeks and get one, and of course I would like to see Andy be fit but presume he wont be

I havent checked if Tsonga is high enough for a place yet, if he isnt by the time in 5 weeks that entries are made, then i would give him one also; not sure if Jack Sock has the pedigree at Wimbledon for one, but he might also be a contender, and of course the Junior champion from last season

Tsonga could use PR instead but if not, should definitely get a WC

In case of any doubts I'd say Jay has secured his mdwc now.

Jay Clarke should get Main draw WC

Ward Broady and Choinski to get QWC.

Given his current ranking, not sure Ward will need a QWC?

Yes, he should be absolutely fine to make qualifying on ranking.

He will be up to 299 points on Monday. He does have 63 points ( 8 + 55 ) due off before the qualifying entry ranking date of 03/06. But even if he adds nothing more in the meantime that still would still leaves him on 236 points, equivalent to WR 215 in the current rankings.

So it's really about can he make a compelling ( for the LTA/AELTC ) case for a MD WC.
