Good stuff. Brydan certainly seems to be getting into groove again after over three months out prior to the French Open. And seems very comfortable on grass.
That's Brydan's 8th loss in a row in Challenger singles semi-finals since winning his one Challenger singles title in Burnie in 2009 but nevertheless, given the recent injury and the fact that he hadn't picked up any singles points at all in 2016 until he came here, a really excellent week for him

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
That's good to hear, given 25% of the worlds Grand Slams are played on grass, it's profile worldwide is relatively weak. There is something magical about grass and sport, for me the mere sight of a patch of green framed with white lines stirs some very deep rooted emotions and when darkness has descended and the floodlights are on, well I am a cup of Bovril away from the ultimate sensory experience. But I digress.
The extra week between Paris and Wimbledon, I feel has been successfully exploited by the LTA, i.e. I like the tournaments scheduled and the opportunity it gives for players to prepare properly. It is nice to see the French taking the surface seriously with the creation of a resource that will facilitate optimal preparation of their players and the consolidation in growth of Lawn tennis that that implies. Maybe even an opportunity to cross the channel and see the French grass roots in action.
