Naomi is so careless. Several times she's had an easy winner only to hit it straight to Gavrilova who hits a winner past her. Happened twice in the lengthy game in which Naomi was broken.
First serve reasonably good. Volleys decent. Forehand and backhand both poor so far. 2nd serve return horrible in the opening set - 6 unreturned 2nd serves. Naomi has tried some drop shots and come to the net but Daria tends to pass her quite easily.
Naomi got her break in the opening set through a rare spell of sustained good play (3 points).
Movement absolutely awful.

Tara and Paszek keep exchanging breaks, but the Austrian holds when it really matters, and takes a tight 4-6 6-4 6-4 victory. Another impressive performance from Tara though against a very strong grass courter, hard to feel discouraged by it.
She might have missed out on the chance to head back into the top 200 this week, but I don't think she'll need to wait too much longer.

Naomi was outclassed on the resumption, she didn't play great, but Daria played very well. Final result: 4-6 6-2 6-3.
Again, a good test against a high calibre opponent. Hopefully she can pick up a win or two down in Eastbourne and then do damage when the big one comes.
No idea what will happen with this tournament. Forecast is dire, first round not completed.
Jo scheduled for two singles and a doubles tomorrow, but bet she won't even get on court.
