Very nice result for Kyle although not that surprising. Simon's game is just awful at the moment and his confidence is in pieces.

Absolutely buzzing with that. I accept that Simon was short of his best, but Kyle has claimed a CH ranking scalp and apart from a lapse in the 2nd set, he played pretty well. We have been waiting for a "big" win from Kyle and I think this classifies as that. It is, after all, his first top 20 scalp.

Didn't expect him to win that tie breaker at all and looked like it was going the same way as the previous one after losing set point *6-5.

It was his 7th set point of the set and his 10th in the match. He had conspired to lose most of them through unforced errors but ironically took that one producing a great forehand to get himself out of trouble.
