oh, and thank heavens for Dan too, finally on his 4th or more set point this set, after the wasted ones last set, he finally, finally wins one! 6-7(8) 7-6(6)
Absolutely buzzing with that. I accept that Simon was short of his best, but Kyle has claimed a CH ranking scalp and apart from a lapse in the 2nd set, he played pretty well. We have been waiting for a "big" win from Kyle and I think this classifies as that. It is, after all, his first top 20 scalp.

It was his 7th set point of the set and his 10th in the match. He had conspired to lose most of them through unforced errors but ironically took that one producing a great forehand to get himself out of trouble.
OK. In the top 1/4 of the draw, I am going for 3 out of 4 GB victories, with victories for Aljaz, Dan & Kyle, and just an inform Mahut upsetting the apple cart by dumping Andy out in the 1st round. I also think Gilles Muller will have to much for Wardy.
Given where I am situated in the 2016 predictions competition right now, I wouldn't pay too much credence to what I have just typed.
Come on Evo. I know I got the Andy prediction wrong (happily), but I am one set away from a triple on Dan/Kyle/Aljaz. Let's go Evo, let's go.
