Wins for Dominique Covington ( 4-6 6-3 6-2 ) and Holly Hutchinson ( 7-5 6-0 ) give them each a third ranking point from three counters and thus a ranking on Monday week ( although Holly's would only be due to last a week as things stand ),
15 yo Aleksandra Pitak now has 3 ranking points, beating Elise can Heuvelenen in QR2 to follow up her straight TB sets win over WR 898 Mia Eklund in QR1
Aleksandra is now our youngest player to have at least one ranking point. That though is only because in QR1 Elise saw off another 2001 girl, 14 yo Gemma Heath, in a third set TB.
