Yes Katie!!! Well done superb effort after a poor start. Really got stuck in through the second. Hopefully heading back up the rankings quickly there's so much talent there.

Sounds like a positive day Phil.

A great win for Katie, 1-6, 6-3, 7-6(4); giving her 10 points, which should take her up another 100 ranking places.

2 wins against 4 higher ranked opponents makes this a good day for the British gals.

Excellent win as Renata was pretty useful.

Yay, 10 ranking points for a QR1 win thank you very much should take Katie close to 100 places up the rankings to about the 630s. And still can add ...

As Paul says, so much talent. Top 500 and much higher should come along

I maybe should have popped over for that one, saw Jeremy and Katie earlier in the day, great to see her get the win, Voracova not enjoying the quick transition to grass.

Blimey Laura's run of draws really seems like at the start of her first career when she got top seeds in the first round of her two first Wimby's. No doubt there will be the usual 'it's a waste of a wildcard' comments if she loses.

Not feeling great about Hev's draw either, hopeful for the rest.
