Perhaps says an awful lot about Tara going forward. Her serve pretty much behaving ( or better ) and the future could be very good for her. She has I felt stuck impressively to the task even when it was fallible, breaking some good players regularly in break fests, and now the rewards may come.

Like Paul I was prepared for it being tough to follow up here so quickly after Eastbourne, and had no big ecpectation, so this looks pretty impressive. Hope she can keep it going.

Great job Tara. Could have easily won the first but seemed to settle down as was very comfy in the end.

Eden doing so well given how little tennis she's had, even if this was a pretty soft draw in the field. Hopefully whatever happens she can have a positive second half of the year.

Super from Tara so quickly after her exploits down in Eastbourne.

She should be back into the top 280 in Monday's rankings, then today's 10 QR1 win points already more than cover her 8 from Surbiton last year, and after this coming week she only has 20 points from Wimbledon qualifying last year to defend before October.
