Oh my lord !!! That was so gutting. 1st set, we had bp , and Neal hit an outright winner on return, but the serve was just out. Then they had bp, and they hit an unbelievable return winner off one of Kens best 1st serves. 2nd set we were always looking strong, but it took a brilliant couple of games at the backend to claim it. It all went Pete tong in the MTB, 5-2 down double break, when we hit a rich vein of form, including a very tight call which went in our favour, we went 9-6 up, but then they hit 2 unbelievable serves, which meant Neal then had to serve it out, with not feeling we really had any chance on the 1st 2. Such a massive shame for the lads, a lot of family came out to support as well, but there you go that is sport, a killer at times. Onto Surbiton.
The big question will be will Phil arrive on time???
Got there 1/2 hr early, and bagged a spot in the car park, so it worked out perfectly. It was a sellout though, so pass holders weren't strictly speaking allowed to get a seat, but Richard kindly got some extra seats out so some of us could watch from the corner of the court.
