Great win for Fran against higher ranked opposition. She' s also covered the pt off from Surbiton so any more progress will take her up the rankings.

Yes congrats to Fran S for a good win, whilst Jazzamay's performance against the #4 seed is commendable - the whole match went to nearly 2 hours, and Jazzamay scored 55 points (to 73), so it was a hard battle she fought, and her opponent knew she was in one.

In recognition of Fran reaching her 3rd doubles final in a row. May she have a better finish today! Fran and Nastja play two unranked French opponents, of whom Emma Lene is only 16 and doesn't have a single ranking either. But they did beat the #2 seeds on their way to the final, and at 382 Lou Brouleau has the highest singles ranking of all 4 players.
