Freya and Laura are both within a dozen points of the top 300, so it could be up to 8 inside that mark within a few weeks. To hope for a couple more to join them by the end of the year doesn't seem absurdly optimistic, if they all stay fit.
You're probably asking all who are in to stay in ( not absolutely necessary but probably ) and four others to join so like just nearly everything working out
All I am saying is that my prediction is that it won't happen ( I don't think that there will be four others though Freya and Laura as you say are not far away ).
But yes it is possible ( I never said that it was absurdly optimistic, just certainly more optimistic than I am ) and I'd be delighted to be wrong and see 10 in the top 300 this year.

The last time we had 10 or more was 30/05/2011 The most we've had since 2000 was 11, which we last had on 09/05/2011
We first had 10 on 30/10/2000 We first had 11 on 09/07/2001
This Millennium, we have had 10 or more players WR300 or better, for a total of 58 weeks. 11 of those weeks we had 11 players, the remaining 47 weeks, we had 10 players ranked 300 or better.
The longest duration we kept that maximum of 11 players for was the 4 consecutive weeks from 30/08/2010 - 20/09/2010 The longest unbroken period with 10 or more players was from 31/01/2011 - 30/05/2011, when we had 18 consecutive weeks of 10 or more players ranked 300 or better.(2 weeks with 11, the other 16 at 10 players)
The full occurrence for this Millennium, when we have had 10 or more players ranked 300 is as follows:
More important for their longterm prospects for Tara to get her singles ranking closer to Connie, so they can regularly contest the same events on the same terms.
Dodin is through to face Tara in the SF, after the Spanish woman retired.
I've followed Tara's career for a long time. Combining injuries, confidence and inconsistentcy I thought this was her final season. I think having a 'companion' on tour is invaluable. I don't know how athletes do it on their own financially / emotionally / progressively. Long may it last on lots of levels
