Week 21 - ITF ($25K) - Incheon, Korea Rep. - Hard

Al Nabhani certainly extremely beatable and quite straightforwardly when off song, as Harriet maybe found when beating her last week. Her pitch can evidently get quite a bit better on occasion, but still should see Freya into the QF, and hopefully Harriet too.

Nice win today for Harriet :D

Both have decent shouts in R2 so here's hoping :)

Worrying MTO in Harriet's match, with her 0-3 down; now 1-3...

Harriet just lost quite easily. I assume next flight back and get ready for Eastbourne.
Freya going nicely.

Freya won 6-2, 6-1.

Her QF opponent, and Indonesian qualifier, took 3 1/2 hours to dispose of the 3 seed in her fifth singles match of the week, and is back later for a doubles match.

Freya's running CH now up to around WR320.

Great from Freya, disappointing result for Harriet... And yes, if Freya's opponent can come back tomorrow and do it again, then good luck to her.

Pity Harriet went down there :(
Nice win for Freya and not facing Sema in the QFs feels like a bonus; here's hoping the rankings prevail :)

Harriet beat Beatrice last week in two tight sets, so definitely winnable

The following list of under 19s shows Freya in comparison with other girls still in their first full year of the WTA tour...

live-tennis.eu/wta-ranking-under-19

...she now moves up to rank 17, on 127 points(it's not updating properly).

In doubles, she's ranked 11...

live-tennis.eu/wta-doubles-ranking-under-19

Considering also that she missed almost all of the 2015 grass season due to injury, and she seems to have a game that suits grass, she would seem to be very well poised to make a very successful transition into the senior game. If she can pick up another 100 points or so, she might be playing in US Open or Oz Open qualifying.

QF: (8) Freya Christie WR 352 beat (Q) Beatrice Gumulya (INA) WR 644 (=CH) 6-3 6-3

SF: (8) Freya Christie WR 352 vs (Q) Sunam Jeong (KOR) WR 885 (CH 856 in Sep 2015)

Another qualifier in the SF. Looks good in theory

Good to have a counter of at least 18 to add to her 31 from last November. The 31 was standing out with next highest 9.

Feel free to make this week really stand out too. 50 is a nice number
