Did Dom miss out on ranking or because he didn't have a partner.

His ranking is high enough at 29 to get in with almost anyone who would be there.

Lindstedt hasn't played since they gave a walkover so presumably Robert's injured and Dom couldn't find a partner in time.

Ken being from Liverpool and playing with the Milkman makes me think of a certain advert from about 25 years ago...

Who of the potential no. 1s did what what here last year? I assume Jamie needs to make the semis or so tohave any chance at no. 1 for Wimbledon?

If I am not mistaken, the Milkman is also a Liverpool FC fan, which may have influenced choice of partner.

You know, I knew there was something wrong about the draw when I started the thread, but I really couldn't put my finger on it!  Shame on me for overlooking Dom!

I only picked up on it because he tweeted this morning about being gutted on missing out for the 2nd year running.

Good friends off the court, lost count of the non Liverpudlians who support LFC on the tennis circuit.

Well I wish them every success on the court, lots of respect for the milkman although dipped a little now I know he is a plastic scouser.

Melo & Dodig beat the Bryans in the final with Tecau and Roger as semi finalists. The two in best shape as far as the 'in running' points to be WR 1 are Mahut and Murray who are just dropping L16 points ( 180 points ) from last year.

There are 5 potential number 1s post the French Open ( the top 8 being within 2000 points going in 'in running' but Herbert, Rojer and M Bryan can't overtake their partners )

Taking off last year's  points :

1. Mahut : 7580 - 180 = 7400

2. Murray : 7535 - 180 = 7355

3. Herbert : 7190 - 180 = 7010

4. Tecau : 7450 - 720 = 6730

5. Rojer : 7290 - 720 = 6570

6. B Bryan : 6870 - 1200 = 5670

7. M Bryan : 6870 - 1200 = 5670

8. Melo : 7590 - 2000 = 5590

Very difficult to say what Jamie needs to do to be #1 post the French Open and / or going into Wimbledon. Theoretically even winning just one round could do it if Mahut lost in R1 and the other contenders fell fairly early. Winning the title would certainly do it !
