First time this week I actually paid attention to a junior result. I was it the queue for a taxi at Budapest airport when a girl was queuing with her coach in front. She had her name on her bag so made sure I looked up how she did alas lost the the #1 q seed. Tiegan was the British player. Recognised the coach but couldn't place him.

Jack just avoided Gemma's fate. Tiegan got into the doubles, but exited in round 1, though Gemma progressed in that event.

(9) Jack Draper d. Robin Erik Parts (EST) 4-6 6-1 6-4

R3

(WC) Fabian Marozsan (HUN) v (9) Jack Draper

To be honest, if Jack had lost in R1 too, poor Beechy would probably have been on the first plane home, with no Xmas bonus....

Good day for Jack, with wins in both the singles and doubles.

Next up for Jack is the second seed, ranked just inside 200, but with modest record in the higher grade events he has moved up to this year (until this week). However he did recently beat the player who ousted Jay Clarke in Milan this week.

Boys R3

(9) Jack Draper d. (WC) Fabian Marozsan (HUN) 6-4 7-5

QF

(9) Jack Draper v (2) Sangeet Sridhar (USA)

Jack lost comfortably in singles, won a doubles match but the pair then gave a w/o in the semis

(2) Sangeet Sridhar (USA) d. (9) Jack Draper 6-4 6-1
