Team {Chart, Heya!, Freda, Fart, Artie, Harrieya etc} win!

A second Brit $25K dubs title of the week. That doesn't happen too often, I imagine.

Just love your proposed team names..........

Harriet holds her nerve in the end, breaking to love to record one of her best wins to date

SF: Harriet Dart WR 509 beat (2) Lee So-Ra (KOR) WR 254 (CH 247 last Nov) by 3 & 5

30 points, her best single-week haul by far, and her first 25K singles final

This should take her into the top 450 (after allowing for 3 sets of points due off at the end of RG), though she's still some way off her career high of 345, which she achieved mainly from lots of good results in 10Ks.

Excellent win for Harriet there; great to see her stepping up a level biggrin

I honestly have a good feeling about the finals for Harriet. She seems to be having no problem against the so called Asian playing style - flat shots, consistent, stay on the baseline....... The closest match so far for her has been against Gumulya, and having played the last 4 years college tennis in the States probably has a different playing style.

Welcome Kim88

That's an interesting observation; I hadn't thought of that. Hopefully that's given even more credence by a convincing win in the final.

30 singles points and 50 doubles points it is for Harriet, as singles RU and doubles champion.

Which is to say that she lost overnight, to the home 1Seed, 6-3, 6-2.

Still a fabulous week.

Bit worried about the proposed team name given the diet of buried rotten cabbage that insures success, may explain a lot of things.

Shame about the singles result but a great week for Harriet. Hopefully this gives her the belief to do this on a more regular basis.
