I always felt this would be his last year as I believe his daughters are just about school age now which will presumably stop his family travelling with him. I might be wrong but I couldn't see him enjoying life on the road now without his family in tow.
Yes his choices will be interesting, I don't know his educational background but given his linguistic skills it appears to have been fit for purpose in every way. He seems to (one could extrapolate that) value education and a significant number of tennis kids are home schooled which would be an option if he wanted to keep playing. Personally I have the most respect for those players (in any sport) who are financially secure and play on until they are 40 or beyond, it implies their love of the game transcends their ego and for me marks them out as a sporting legend.
Jimmy Connors, Chris Waddle (autocorrect waffle also apt) (Spenymoor!) , Ryan Giggs (too good to descend!), Stanley Matthews (Div 1 at 51!!!) Paul Scholes (ref giggs), Joe Cole (Coventry city) and Peatuur Beardsley (Darlington) spring to mind instantaneously

I struggle with some of the identikit Bollettieri type players on the women's side. However, regardless of the level, as long as there is a good contrast in styles WTA is interesting. It always amuses me watching how players stand up to the unique challenge of Monica Niculescu. She must know Brad Gilbert as she has the same unremitting nuisance value.
Djokovic dominating like this is not great for the men's game. He is not the most marketable, likeable or interesting player. It is not his fault, but he sorely needs an Agassi to his Sampras.
