Interesting.

Been waiting to see Tiffany's name appear.

I believe that she graduated from college this January and (according to her mum last year) was going to try and go pro this year.

So here she is !

Good luck, Tiff

Tiffany and Amanda could well meet in FQR.

Surprised she's picked clay for her first tourney though - college kids play almost exclusively on hard.

Good to see Mandy giving a higher event a go, after the great success of last week

That's what i meant. She did well at a 25k and now she's stepping even higher.

There may be some confusion because there's a typo in the title.

Peter, it should be 50k+H

Ahhh....that's what I based my query on.

But a if it is a 50K, that makes it an even more surprising choice as Tiffany's first event of her pro career.

She lost 4-6 7-5 2-6 cry

Not too bad for a first effort.

Her coach is Yves Latreille so could be a french connection. 21yo ex-college???

Tiffany has played various 10Ks intermittendly and indeed the Surbiton 50K Q last June, as she pursued her college career. At Surbiton she beat Holly Hutchinson and Lisa Phillips before losing to Lucy Brown for 3 points. But I see what is being said re the start of her 'proper' pro career in choosing an overseas 50K+H.

Looks a very decent effort.

Yes, it was at Surbiton that I saw her (against Lisa and Lucy). But that didn't count for me as her 'pro career' as she was not a 'pro' (not allowed to be, of course, under college rules).

But, yes, that looks like a very decent score against a top 800 player - looks as though it was all to play for at the end of the second set - must have been 5-5, with Tiffany having won the first set. Very close....

I saw Tiffany play at Wrexham a few years ago. Very powerful player and I thought she was capable of doing well on the main tour. Good luck to her, if she has a go.
