Fair to say he got plenty of practice although the French keeper (also excellent) was busier in the last match. Realistically though he is so far away from the NHL where the goaltender is the rockstar of the team, no superstar keeper definitely no Stanley Cup.
Hopefully he will get an opportunity in Sweden or Finland best case scenario AHL but will definitely keep an open for him. The French teenage forward (Texier) at the beginning of season was playing in Finland got drafted to the AHL (Cleveland Monsters) and then got called up for the Columbus Blue Jackets and played a couple of games ? in the play offs??
The Stanley Cup is ongoing The Sharks and Blues play game 6 of their series the winner meeting the Bruins in the final.
That apart the tournament is awash with NHL stars. France were short of a couple of theirs but due to injury. Nikita Kucherov the NHL MVP is part of an all star Russian line up. The Finns are also strong.
