The way Zopp is playing at the moment there is a good prospect for bakery products if Kyle is anywhere near his best.

Kyle teams up with FFS again in the doubles, but not a good draw:

R1:  Kyle Edmund & Frederico Ferreira Silva (POR) UNR (0+313) vs (2) Julio Peralta & Horacio Zeballos (CHI/ARG) CR 132 (65+67) bleh

Kyle is on the OOP of play for today, and has a 2.30pm start on court 3. Looking at the line-up I'm guessing that court 3 will be streamed, alongside Centre Court, so Kyle's match should be available for viewing on the ATP livestream site at 1.30pm BST.

Looks a nicely balanced tournament for Kyle, hopefully he will get plenty of tennis in and assuming everyone plays to their seeding some tougher games as the week progresses, but, that is a hell of an assumption.

Looking forward to watching him play.

He really should make the final without too much difficulty. The only player in his half that comes close to matching his pedigree is Adam Pavlesek. Anything other than a Vesely v Edmund final would be a bit of a shock.

I've been catching glimpses of Pavlasek coming up the rankings in the past few months when I've glanced at draws ... another of those players of whom one wondered whether they'd make the transition or not ... and then slowly ...

Interestingly, they're currently the #2 and #3 ranked 21 year olds (though not #2 and #3 in 21U, thanks to the four U21 wunderkinder in the top 100).

I agree with you on Kyle's half of the draw - although having watched a fair amount of Pavlesek's matches recently, he has the ability to really test Kyle on clay. However, I don't think Vesely's route to the final is quite as seemingly straightforward, as he potentially has to deal with Zeballos, Kamke and Krajinovic - all of whom are top 100 dirt ballers on their day. Having said that I would naturally favour Kyle against any of those players, perhaps unless Zeballos brings his A+ game.

GSM Kedders 6-4 6-3. Fairly straightforward as expected smile

Not the best of performances but good enough for a fairly comfortable win.

Kyle's scheduled to be second on centre court (with a 'not before 2pm' stipulation), so should be on for around 2pm local time (1pm BST) tomorrow afternoon, assuming that the first match doesn't run over.
