And from 5-2 up in the second, went to 5-4, deuce, before winning 6-4.

Em+ could end up as the only non-Asians left of 8 singles QFs and 8 doubles SFists. Conversely, in the 100k in China, hardly a single European has been knocked out by an Asian.

I see EWS has posted on instagram that she has been struggling for months with pain whilst playing her backhand. That may explain her lack of form over recent months.
