When you see the ITF/ATP player 'union' complaints, one of their key demands is not for higher prize money but for more +H events.
As you say, it makes the equation so much more workable.
Of course, it only lasts as long as you're in the draw so it may only give them a night or two, but it all helps....
A pragmatic view from the union, interesting though the impact this has on the doubles, ie. loose early in the singles and you are all in as regards the doubles, win through in the singles and it becomes inconsequential because of the prize money differential.
