I only saw the 2nd set, but it did look quite a comprehensive win. I thought Milkman made too many UEs.
Here is a question for the statisticians: When did we last have a player win 9 consecutive challenger matches?
In April 2007, Boggo won Valencia (USA) then reached the final in Cardiff the following week, but the 9th match (i.e. Cardiff SF) was a walkover. If that doesn't count, Alex also won Wrexham and Bergamo in Jan/Feb 2006 with a week (but no matches) in between - there was a walkover in that run too, so 9 wins in a row in matches he actually played.
The last Brit to win a Challenger title then reach a Challenger final the following week without any walkovers involved was Jamie Delgado in July 2001, when he won Bristol then reached the final in Manchester, both on grass.

watching livestream. 5-2* Dan. Win or lose this match, this is the best I've ever seen Dan play, and against an extremely good and relentlessly solid player IMO. His topspin backhand has been outstanding, used FAR more than he used to, and to tremendous effect. A very dangerous player now, easily top 50 on this form. I hope he can keep up this sort of level today. What a joy.
I'm watching the match on the livestream.com/atp catch up thing (I find that if you move the brower window down so that the baseline is just above the bottom of the screen you can get on with checking other things etc and easily flick back to the tennis without seeing the pesky red line at the bottom giving away how far through the match you are) so I am way behind but too excited about how Dan is playing not to look on here to see what people are saying (again going to great lengths to make sure I dont look at anything to recent - the things I do for that 'as though live' experience!).
I agree korriban - and I have to say when we had a typical Millman point early in the Millman's first service game I thought - here we go -this is what I expect to keep happening through the match too often. But it hasn't! At least not as far as I have watch so far. Dan seems to be getting plenty of reward from some very good serving and Millman is missing much more than he seemed to against Liam - I dont know how much that is to do with just not having as good a day as yesterday but it is at least partly to do with just how much Dan is putting him under pressure with his good play and variety. At this stage (Dan has just broken at the start of the 2nd - wow!!! Go Dan!!!) I am still concerned that Millman might cut out a lot of errors and make it much harder.
Also interesting that both guy had similar success behind first and second serve int first set. Dan winning well over 70% on both deliveries and Milkman about 57% on both. I think that is likely an anomaly - I have not seen Dan get such good numbers behind his second against even a half decent player recently. Perhaps a bit to do with the psychology of attacking on your own serve etc?
Right I'll post this now and check later whether I have repeated what others have said already. I hope this does not annoy people posting in delay like this!
Dan will play Kravchuk in the final, who he beat so narrowly to win the title last week. I will be interested to see what game plan he puts together with Hilts.
Unfortunately for us, their match has a morning start - first up is the doubles at 10.00 and the singles staigt after (not before 11.00) I'm usually wrong when I translate to UK time, but I think that is a 3.00am...

Thanks for that Steven. I'm encouraged to know that there is somebody even nerdier about tennis than me!
