Best ball striking from Laura since her return from injury. Had 2 bps but Azarenka controlled both points.

Nice drop shot from Laura as she holds to 15 for 3-4*

Typical Laura, more games this set so far against WR 5 than in a whole match against WR 40 ! Cummon Laura.

Hoping Jo is going to get this game 4-5 15-30.

Azarenka slightly careless, allows Laura to break back 4-4

Laura has 40-30 but Azarenka punishes two 2nd serves then Laura nets a forehand off another 2nd serve 4-5*

Caroline was really very good apart from one game and takes a good first set 6-4.
Jo is sometimes settling for rallies where on hard courts she would press the advantage. When it comes to trading groundstrokes in long spells, Garcia is coming out on top almost every time without having necessarily to actually hit a winner - eventually Jo will get one of her random wild card shots and miss.
Need a bit more from Jo -more purpose in the points - and, probably, a bit less from Caro.

1st set gone. Not much in it. Laura had bp in that last game but Azarenka's body serve on 2nd serve got her out of trouble.
