Nervy start for Sam, 2 DFs in first game and is broken, but wins the next 3. 2 DFs again in her 3rd service game, could be topsy turvy this.

Notable feature of that set is how Sam is killing her opponent's serve - who is only the No1 seed and ranked 333 in the world! Her opponent won only 5/23 services all set and lost every service game.

My mistake. I thought the (1) after Klaffner's name was her seeding, not an estimate of how many games she might win.

Well the fifth game of the 2nd set was remarkable in that Klaffner doubled the number of serves she had won the whole match. And after about 5 game points, she eventually won one too. Sam leads 6-1 5-1*
