Fabulous win for Mandy 6-4, 6-3.

Right at the death, nerves seem to have got to her, with a couple of missed first serves in the final game cutting her first serve percentage down from 94%, to a mere 91.5%.

So thrilled to see Amanda C back in higher level competition, and doing SO well, after her injuries and stuff.

As a clay lover, this is really her happy hunting period.

Here's hoping for more of the same in the next couple of months.

Really fantastic career best win for Mandy, delighted to see it! smile smile Incredibly consistent serving! As for those few missed services in the final game, maybe they were deliberately engineered as her second serve win percentage was even higher than her first smile (mind you she only had 6 second serves all match).

Would be wonderful if she could go on now in the tournament, but note that her next opponent is a top rising junior, at her CH, so assume it will be another challenging match. Hope she can carry through her confidence from today.
