With no guarantees he will make it into the MD at Madrid or Rome I am a little surprised Aljaz has not entered anything for this week. He has a challenger title from last year that will be coming off and could use something to replace it. He is running the risk of going 3 weeks of the clay season, his best surface, without a competitive match.

He's on the qualifying entry list for Rome but like you I'm surprised he's not playing either this week or in Madrid or even both.

Just took a look at the Mestre entry list and if Aljaz is in need of some pre RG court time he could probably get a WC and win the title playing left handed against that field. I have seen stronger 10k entry lists.

Brydan and James are both listed as entrants in qualis at Roland Garros (the cut is 226)

No idea if Brydan would turn up, or is even fit to step on a court, but it's always possible.....

I'm sure I read Brydans aim was to be back for RG.

That's good to know. Tx.

And I guess he would have taken himself off the list by now if he was 100% sure he wasn't going to be ready.

So the very fact he's there, in black and white, must be promising. smile

The entries are now up to date for all levels and nice to see not just one, but two Lumsdens on the entry list - both in Turkey and I assume coach will look after both.

Freya seems to have found a very weak 25K and will be seeded

Wouldn;t be surprised if Dan sacks off Bangkok if he has a half decent week next week

I think that seems reasonably likely. If he were to play Bangkok and start his grass season in Manchester he would only have one week between the tournaments. After a successful trip to Asia I would imagine that he would want, and deserve, a bit of time off and then a good few days practice on grass. 4 weeks in Asia, 1 week off / practice, then 5 grass court events in a row would be an unusually heavy schedule for him. That being said with the mood he seems to be in at the moment I wouldn't rule it out.

Guess how Dan feels about everything, maybe even forego Manchester. That's him up to a full set of 18 ranking counters after this week and liking some of the counts !

if Klein is going to play RG as he tweeted then surely he must play at least one warm up tourny?

He is not entered for anything in week 19 and with all draws now out he has not snuck into anything via the back door either.  Looks like the qualies are his warm up.
