And had a long match against the Q girl, only winning 7-6(6) 6-4
So, on top of the big run last week, (which was a bit unexpected - in the previous 4 10ks in the last couple of months, she'd only made the QFs twice, and the R16 twice), she may well be a bit tired.....
With Katie moving to 13 points in running on Monday week and so at the least will be GB #23, Lucy Brown and Emily Appleton will be #24 and #25 ( or vice versa ) on 12 points, so we will have 25 players in double figure points and #25 in the low 900s in WR ( probably about WR 920 ).
As of now, Sam could still get a ranking and also go to 12 points by winning the tournament ( edit : not to be, see next )

WOW; brilliant win for Katie :D
I'm getting excited about my rankings prediction for her now :)
Great effort by Sam; considering Cascino has put out the 2nd seed 2 weeks running, that was very close to opening up the draw for an all Brit final

The thing about Katie re predictions is I haven't a clue where she'll end up this year.
If she came back quickly this year and stayed fit I was pretty sure she'd be GB top 10 come the end. But given at the time of predictions that was far from clear, and as I said from the WR point of view I still wouldn't have much feel at all as to where to place her, I opted to leave her out. But all the best, you. And of course, all the best, Katie !
I generally have not much clue about any predictions, Indy, hence my excitement :)
On another forum my worst effort in a crowded field was to get 0.5 out of 10...and that was being generous with the 0.5!
