Ah, I knew Cascino registered in my mind ( it would have been re her meeting and beating Katie in Sharm last week ), but I see that her fuller story from last week is she also beat Totka then in R2 before beating Katie in the QF and then going on to win the title.

So very challenging looking QF matches for both Katie and Sam.

Shame Sam didn't do anything in the doubles as she was a very good doubles player - fits into the Murray mould....

Sam is entitled to use her SR as well assuming she has applied for it, so we may see that in action in a few weeks time.

Sam's last appearance was at Lexington 22/07/2014 at which stage(according to Steven's tables) she was ranked 239, so should be able to use SR's when appropriate. I suspect she will want to find her level before using them and may well use them for some of the grass court season.
