Week 16 - Turkey F16 ($10,000) -Antalya (hard)

He's only gone and done it. Imran takes out the top seed 2&3. That is fantastic. WOW.

That's a staggeringly good win: Singh is a fine player. Well done to all three.

Brilliant link. I know I shouldn't but I found that really funny disbelief

well done to Imran for keeping his cool (and then doing so well - he most certainly didn't let it break his stride)

The result was 6-0 2-0 when this occurred so Imran won by default, and  the 2nd set was never completed.

I meant well done to him for keeping his cool and not having a Zidane moment (re the mother and donkey remark, which sounds remarkably similar, and does beggar belief....). And then doing so well later in the event, having one of the best wins of his career. He could easily have lost it, decked the guy, and ended up disqualified himself too.

And Joel back to 3-3

(There was an MTO in Imran's match - for his opponent???)

30 mins later, not quite so good, but nothing disastrous....

Rich on serve 3-4

Imran a break down 3-4* (but there's been 8 breaks in total anyway)

Joel lost the first set 4-6

Yeh ! Well done both, and Imran in particular.

L16: (Q) Imran Aswat WR 1532 def. (PR) Alban Meuffels (NED) WR 1058 (CH = 616 in December 2013) 6-1 6-4

L16: (4) Richard Gabb 486 def. Petar Conkic (SRB) WR 856 (CH = 850 last October) 6-1 6-3

Joel is 2-4 down but seems to be putting in a decent performance against the number 2 player.

Joel got the break back in the 2nd, but has just been broken again for Dubail to win 6-4 6-4.

As CD says, a decent effort against the 2nd seed.
