Qualifying is still going on here but the main draw should be out later this evening. The main draw starts tomorrow and should feature Ewan Moore, Ben Draper, Jack Molloy, Emily Appleton and Ali Collins.  Live scores available at http://www.tennisticker.de/FRA/FRA2762/sb.html

Emily App has just won her R1 match comfortably.

Jack won his singles

Emily also won her doubles

 

Emily needs to get to the semi finals to get a boost to her singles points her QF points in the doubles already means a small ranking point increase and any extra is a bonus. Her doubles scores are weak bar one good score.

Ben Draper lost to a wildcard ranked JWR 420 or so, which is not a great result.

Ewan is also currently being rather beaten up by the American, having lost the first set 1-6

Reminder that we are in clay court season and GB boys aren't generally accustomed to clay, so no great suprise.

Even Yasmin said Jay Clarke was finding difficulty in getting suitable training facilities on clay in UK.

I would think that Ben has absolutely no problem getting access to any sort of training facilities he chooses.....

Ewan's defeat is not a surprise - his opponent has a similar ranking and much better recent results, including a G1 semi on clay Ali now plays one of the star 2001s
