This is only Jamie's third Masters SF and looking for his first final.

SF:  (4) Jamie Murray & Bruno Soares (BRA) CR 14 (1+13) vs (2) Ivan Dodig & Marcelo Melo (CRO/BRA) CR 11 (9+2)

So the winner becomes/remains WR1?

Indeed.  In running :

Murray : 7415 - 200 ( 18th counter ) + 360 = 7575

Melo : 7410 - 360 ( last year's MC SF ) + 360 = 7410

So replace 360 by 600 and Melo is in 7650

I get the feeling that the fight for no.1 may stay interesting for some time.

Meanwhile Andy and Dom are on court.

Indeed, rather remarkably, going into Monte Carlo Jamie had nothing better than a QF on his rankings record from Masters 1000s for the last year. His current rankings total is very much built on Slams and 'others'.

They pushed 'em close.  Even had a match point:

QF:  (3) Pierre-Hugues Herbert & Nicolas Mahut (FRA/FRA) CR 13 (8+5) defeated Dominic Inglot & Andy Murray CR 207 (35+172) by 6-4 3-6 [12-10]  cry

That's a fine effort against a very in form pair. Pity, but still well done.

Dropping another 1000 points this week ( title to out in their first round ) I make it that the Bryans are going to drop to #9 and #10 ( edited :  not #11 and #12 as I first put ). Changed days.

Bruno, currently WR 12, will be reentering the top 10, at #7 or #8.

Fab start for Jamie

Looking at recent results, melo/dodig aren't actually on great form,so is a good opportunity to cement #1 and prove Jamie can do it on the dirt!

Also good that Bruno is moving up the rankings, as will cement top 4 seeding for all events

Are we following the same match, Shhh?  My live scoreboard has Jamie & Bruno leading by 4-0*! confuse
