Good stuff and the old Manisha was a real battler who just wouldn't go away. Good signs that these battling qualities are still there.

Well not to be for Manisha this week. She loses to Margarita 6-7 6-3 1-6. Not sure who had the time outs in the second set, but Manisha could probably do with a bit of a break now. Unfortunate that she stayed on this week as a result of her progress last week, but had to repeat her SF this time in the first round against someone who it would seem is also a battler like her! There were some very long games at the start of the final set, which did not go Manisha's way, and then the last few games she lost quickly. Nevertheless she's made several huge strides forward in the last week.

2nd seed Totka HUN ranked 380 could be next

I was going to post that I thought Katie would beat Totka as I believe she is over ranked having picked up points at soft tournaments. The French girl maybe on the rise and could be a handful.

Anyway Katie needs to win to become the 25th girl inside the top 1000, Beth gave it a good shot earlier in the week.
