QF:  (4) Ed Corrie & Lloyd Glasspool CR 1126 (842+284) defeated (WC) Jonathan Binding & Matthew Hingley UNR by 4 & 4

*****

And a double dose of Bréchemier for Lloyd in the semi:

SF:  (4) Ed Corrie & Lloyd Glasspool CR 1126 (842+284) vs (ALT) Thomas Bréchemier & Mick Lescure (FRA/FRA) UNR (0 [but a CH of 1681 in November 2014]+656)

The Frogs advanced to the semi courtesy of a walkover against the Belgian second seeds, Desein & Mertens.  It was Desein (3) at 2-6 0-3 in his last 16 singles match against Bréchemier.  Talk about double jammy! disbelief

Just to say SC that I do really appreciate your regular formal roundups with round, ranking etc.  It can be easy to lose track when dipping in and out of a thread.  And shoutout to Peter Too for the same service in the women's section.

Ed had a set point (one, at least) but couldn't win it, and it's now 5-5

Well done, Lloyd - a bit of luck in the draws but, hey, make hay while the sun shines and all that.

M. Bréchemier must be heartily sick of Mr Glasspool.
