Katie loses the first set 6-1

Not getting a sniff of a break point on Aoyama's serve either, but Aoyama is getting chance after chance to break Katie. Going to have to improve for the next set.

She had one break point on Aoyama's serve, but failed to take it. Given how little she is getting from the Aoyama serve, that could prove costly as Katie is a break down.

Katie obviously spoke to Blinkova after the Junior Masters final for tips on acing on second serve. :P

Still a break down, but looking more comfortable on her own serve now at least.

Katie is broken again and loses. Sadly, I am a known jinx so I take full responsibility for that final break of serve. Aoyama was just too good on serve today.

Katie started very slowly, and though she improved, couldn't take either of the break points and ran out of time to get back into the match.
