Assuming a good couple of months, she'd definitely be a good case for a MD wildcard (i.e. in the LTA fold, committed to Fed Cup, young, plays an adult game, huge jump in last 12 months etc. etc.)
But the LTA (AELTC) are obviously very wary now about being laughed at for giving too many WCs are everyone losing so they may well be more cautious (and arguably rightly so, although I LOVE wildcards ). They also may have the problem of if they give one to Freya, do they have to for Katie S? etc. etc. A Q WC is obviously a far safer bet, far more easily justified, and may be a better idea anyway in terms of progression (the French would give Freya a MD wildcard though).
Very good win again by Freya. Her progress over the last year has been great to see and I must admit pleasantly surprised me ( though some folk had pointed to her for a while ). Such progress that this latest result is no particular surprise but still very good to see consistent progress.
Certainly expect her to make the top 300 fairly soon, though any slight pause would not be a huge worry. Her progress and ranking will I assume be what matters re any WC rather more than was in the GB Fed Cup squad on a next off the rank basis with few options. In the GB order Freya will move ahead of Amanda for GB #6 on Monday week with still possible further points this week and from next week's Turkey 50K.

The LTA calendar possibly benefits Freya more than any other player; as she's a Notts girl, and so just about guaranteed a WC to the first of the LTA WTA tournaments, as "local interest".
That gives her a chance to win a single match, and get rewarded with further wildcards on the grass.

Is she?
Laura R and Katie S are probably first in line.
I suspect she may get a QWC or elect to play 50K at Surbiton and MD WC where she probably has more chance or picking up points
I would be very surprised if KS was chosen ahead of Freya for Notts. Freya was very prominently involved in pre-tournament publicity in 2015, though unable to take part due to injury.

Yes, I agree.
Last year there was a so much jumping up and down about her going to play there, and she is such a loyal and vocal supporter of Notts, that I can't see her choosing to go to Surbiton in a million years (although might be wrong, of course), or them not choosing her.
And I've no idea why Katie S would be ahead of her.
I suspect Katie S is more looked on by many as the 'future star'. Not partcularly saying whether I agree with that or how much it should matter, but that's a reason why Katie 'might' be ahead of Freya even for Notts.
Freya has only one double digit score (Shrewsbury) from 16. Freya really needs another good 25k performance - another win or two here would do her a world of good.
