 A little bit. She was out injured for a long time last year and did get as high as 635 in the rankings, so not that much of a shock.

I've seen her a few times and she is very good defensively and she gave Pliskova a massive fright a couple of years ago at Preston.

No reason why she cannot get close to 500 if she plays a full season.

Whoop! Manisha!

This week was Manisha's first progression past time in a QF since 2013, when she made that round 4 times, all $10K - three in Sharm, and once in Monzon.
She had previously made 2 SF, both also at $10K, way back in 2011 and both in May that year; one in New Delhi, and one in Raanana.

It is indeed, her first singles Final

As noted elsewhere, without the injury, I'm sure we'd have been here much sooner though

These points alone should move her back to around the 840s, whilst a win would bring her up to the 760s. Certainly should help make her feel better about tennis and life again - as well as being able to cover her costs for another week!

Well done Manisha.
So glad she's been able to work her way back from injury so successfully. Everyone that's worked with her seems to extol her work ethic and temperament, and it's great to see that rewarded.
Go get that title now!
