Thanks Indiana! I don't play much tennis myself, but had a son who was a good junior, and it got me researching more on how British tennis worked (or did not). Then I found this site, which has made me much more interested in following British tennis since. I am an actual researcher, so love the detail and the insight - and the care - so thanks to all for that!

I saw her play Wirral when Laura D beat her and I didn't think there was too much about her game to be worried about.

Mandy is one of my favourite battlers, so I wish her luck tomorrow!
Mandy is now one set all, 5-7, 6-2 versus Gervais. She served for the first set too, but lost the last 3 games in a row. Suffered no breaks in the second, final set to come.
Sadly Mandy lost the final set 3-6 to Julie Gervais, last week's winner. In a very tight final game, Mandy saved at least two match points, but also failed to convert 2 break points. High first serve percentage to Mandy, but she didn't win enough off them.
