The Greek girl trounced her on second serve stats.

The first serves actually weren't too different : Freya with 45% in, which is poor, but Val with only 52% in which is not that much better.

And Freya winning 70% of hers, against her opponent who only won 65%.

But the Greek was 88% in and 66% success on second serves, against 68% and 40% for Freya, which is a big difference.

Valentini was 9 out of 9 for break points too, which is very unusual. Suggests that Freya served particularly badly (first or second) on the important points (although the Greek may well have returned well too, of course).

What a difference a day makes. So full of hope when she made the qualies here, then to win the first match but today came reality and her serve was not up to it on the day.

Probably many days like this in front of her but has to put them behind and look forward to the next tournament.
